I guess it’s a fair price but for whatever reason I just can not work up enthusiasm for that generation of Nova. I know they can be great projects but they just don’t trip my trigger. Being the Olds variant makes it better, though.

NP all day long.

Nearly every part present including the hubcaps, good body shop should be able to fix the sheet, legit papers, and looks like it may even have the motor in it. Even without the motor or trans it’s a nice price. With? Killer deal.

Can’t really disagree. Nova were pretty bland cars in that era.

A convenience store owner today told me he enjoyed watching the reaction on Muslims’ faces when he wished them a Merry Christmas. Anti-PC. Sort of weaponizes Christmas, doesn’t it?

Maybe so, maybe no. One side is low, one side is high, and the rear’s got two flats and one busted spring. I’d halfway assume no engine, but at that price, very easily could be a locked up 305 under the hood.

That car, at that price, in that condition is almost like walking on to a used car lot in the 1980s or early 90s. And I thought all the ‘70s beaters were pretty much gone by now.

Sort of a nostalgia trip, when I was a kid, every parking lot had at least a few battered ‘70s cars with missing hubcaps and various fresh oil drips underneath. Then, they all got scrapped. The ‘90s Japanese stuff that fills the same role today ages much better and just blends into the background.

Yes, all of that, but little being sold within the last ten years will still be around when 25 years old. I just scrapped an ‘89 Camry with 257k miles. I doubt a Camry being sold today will last 29 years.

You’re probably right. Too many electronics and too much plastic, and too much penny pinching. Toyota in the ‘80s and ‘90s was much more willing to just throw money at things, they’ve since become much more budget conscious.

You are 100 correct, cars still rust and age, but nowhere near like the used to.  I love lots of different types and eras of cars, but this one is pretty vanilla, and while not looking too far gone, would be safe to assume it needs everything unless you just want to slap a V8 in it and rat rod the thing.

It’s fascinating to me. I’ve already shared with you that I am a devout Christian — not one of those anti-abortion evangelical zealots — and a focus of that is the WWJD question, though put that way, the acronym is rather irreverent. Nevertheless, to the extent that I claim to understand who the Savior was, and what He stood for and stands for, picking on Muslims for political reasons is not part of that program.

What Would Jesus Drive? ;)

I suspect many who flamboyantly describe themselves as Christian can’t define what it is supposed to stand for, nor do they abide by it.
